Flit Bar (Chestnut stallion born is 1956. He was the offspring of the legendary Sugar Bars and out of a match racing phenomenon named Flit. Flit Bar had only 3 outs and was known early on for 3 things: (1) Breaking hard from the gates (2) Not able to sustain his speed down the track (3) pretty head. Interestingly, it was Flit Bar’s offspring than brought him notoriety. Out of his 1st foal crop, Flit Bar sired a cutting money earner and a five race winner. As the years passed, other offspring began to show up in the winner’s list at both the arena and the track. Without a doubt, Flit Bar has made a major contribution to the barrel horse world through his own offspring as well as producing sons such as Fire Water Flit and Dr Nick Bar
