Son Of Hickory- Bay
stallion-1983 stallion- age 25 and still living
Hickory was a great stallion with really nice eye appeal and
disposition. Docs Hickory was one of the highest producing siring sons
of Doc Bar. We really like the Croton Oil added in his pedigree. He
sired colts that were big time achievers in the cutting pen, working
cow, reining, roping, and barrel racing. He was super fast and athletic
him self. When you put a saddle on him he turned into a gelding. He knew
the difference. We have sold half interest in him to Jack Clark in Pa.
We continued to ship him back and forth for several years till we
thought it was getting too hard of him. I wish I had lots of his
daughters, but we just have one left. They are good minded, sensible
colts that carry their head naturally low. The mare we have is Docs
Oceanside Dream. She is a great producer. This might be one of our
favorite mares. She has had several high selling colts for us.

DOX WIRED LENA- 1987 BAY STALLION,
(DECEASED)
Wow, can you write a better pedigree for a
big time performance horse than Doc O Lena and Dash for Cash. Doc O Lena –
NCHA Futurity champion, sire of NCHA, NRHA, NRCHA Futurity champions, 16
AQHA WORLD CHAMPIONS. NCHA money earners of over $14 million. Dash For Cash,
World Champion 2 times. He was also the all time leading sire of runners
winning over $39 million.
I have always been a believer in Pedigrees, but
you still have to have an awesome individual. Lena was that super horse.
Lena had pts or money in 5 events. AQHA top ten in cutting in 1999. He had
his ROM. He was shown in the Worlds Greatest Horseman event. He had 17
performing foals in the AQHA, plus numerous rodeo winners.
I think it was a shame for a horse of this
caliber to not get the chance to sire more colts. He was struck by lightning
and has his life cut short. We have a few daughters around here and they are
doing a great job producing. I showed several of them in the cowhorse. And
they can excel and take your money in the barrels as Jaymi Meeks has shown
with Cactus.
Lena was a real pretty bay horse with a long
elegant neck and a big soft eye. Super disposition, outstanding mind, and
big time mover. To me here is what a stallion should be. We took him to AQHA
shows and he would show in the cutting and turn around the same day and
perform in the heading and healing, WCH, and reining. Great mind and
ability. Here's your chance to get some of this blood through his daughters. |

TAYLOR JESS TIVIO- 16 YEAR OLD BUCKSKIN STALLION
Tivio is a cute little buckskin grandson of
Poco Tivio that has a million dollar disposition. He has 3 of the
greatest old time horses in his pedigree. They are Poco Tivio, Sugar
Bars and Jessie James. We sold Tivio in our last production sale for
$29,000 to Bob Rodewald, Montana. That was one of the hardest decision
we have made. Drought conditions made the decision for us. We have
retained breeding rights to him. We really thought a lot of him and
still do. We kept a lot of his daughters and rode a lot of his get to
many wins for us and our customers. They have been used in the reining,
working cow horse, ranch horse competitions, calf roping , team roping
and halter. Talk about a little horse with a big heart. Tivio had a
running walk and passed that on. Take a look at the winner’s page and
our broodmares and you will see why we liked him.
Poco Tivio was an AQHA Champion. He placed
5th as a world champion cutting horse in 1951 and 1952. Sugar
Bars ran AAA and was a leading grandsire of 30 AQHA champions, #21 in
lifetime paternal grandsires in the cutting. Matlock Rose-famous cutting
horse trainer called Jessie James one of the greatest cow horses he has
ever ridden. These are some famous horses and foundation bloodlines, an
out cross for anything.
Tivio has always been very consistent in
siring big hipped, straight-legged colts that are classy and people
friendly. It does not stop here. They can step up and do any event and
are pretty doing it. The best thing about his colts is their mind. They
have ambition to do their job, but are never pulling on you. Whether you
use them on the ranch or in the arena, they will just work. One of
Chucks all time favorite geldings to ride was by Tivio. |

CM NONSTOP CHARLIE - 2003 SORREL- NOW
GELDED
Really pretty eye and head, long neck, short back and long
underline. He has a kind and willing disposition and never is cold
backed. He is so fast. I get excited thinking about it. He is the
smoothest riding horse I have ever ridden. And when you ride a lot of
miles out here, that really counts. He sired some great looking colts
for us. We have a few yearlings and twos for sale. Check them out if you
want a good one. It was a tough decision to cut him. I had two sons of
Bubba I had kept and only need one stud. I may regret cutting him later,
but I think he rides better for me as a gelding and I really want to
show him and make him a rodeo horse. And as you all know hauling a stud
isn’t always fun. Nonstop Bubblin (Refer to his Page) his sire was
phenomenal to haul. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, but he was
an exception. Charlie is out of San Crystalita, a Sak Em San Daughter,
she was one of our all time greats. Sak Em San was the sire of Super San
Wood, AQHA, Bull Dogging horse of the year for Todd Suhn. And they made
a lot of really great rodeo horses in this country. This bloodline is
blue chip property. You will find Peppy San and Orphan Drift, two all
time major rodeo pedigrees today, let alone what they have done
individually. In Charlie’s pedigree, you will find those blood lines
crossed with the Nonstop Jet and that just added a lot more speed to
what you just had-cow, rate and athletic ability. You won’t find many
for sale and if they are, you will pay for them. |

Beckwith Dun
Beckwith Dun- 1973 DUN STALLION 15.1 -1200 LBS-DECEASED .
Beckwith Dun was a foundation old time bred stud. The Crago’s are
well known for this bloodline. He sired horses with substance, bone,
withers and good muscle. They made good ranch horses that went on to
make good rope, penning, and ranch horse competitors. They have lots of
natural cow. Chuck says probably the best thing about Beckwiths was the
maternal side. They are mares that you could cross with anything, and
they are hardy mares that breed well, and are good mothers that milk.
They always have an eye-catching colt. The Beckwith mares have been a
great out cross for us. Breeding them to our studs have just made them
more athletic, crossing some modern to foundation using horse bloodlines
with those mares to make their colts more appealing. |
